Skorkle - From the page: "Most philosophers today content themselves with probabilistic arguments based on empirical knowledge and the application of logical principles to concepts"

Interesting attempt to rationalize the logical contradictions of "ordinary skepticism," while avoiding "dogma"*. I do have a few questions, however. If doubt is the first principle, why should we trust (even a little bit) sense data and the resultant empirical data? Or why trust logic when being consistently skeptical makes one ridiculous -- as the "philosophical skeptics" discussed on this page? Many of those that are criticized in these pages are skeptical of conventional medicine, skeptical of governmental veracity, skeptical of the ability to measure everything.
On the other hand, "dogma" simply means "teaching." It seems to me that those who doubt that anyone can teach them anything become self-referential, self-anihilating critters: solipsists, the worm ouruborous.
