Plank2x4 - Very important site... I don't think a whole lot of people even think about all our troops, and how many have given their lives for us... I make it a point to look at these lists and remember those that have fallen and pray for their families and loved ones....

Machione - An incredibly sad and necessary web page dedicated to casualties, that is the people lost, in the Iraq War. To see the Faces of the Fallen causes you to question, why...and there is no good answer.

auwii524 - glad that these #'s are actually being acknowledged, BUT 2bstung is right - don't forget about PTSD, etc. Also, who's to say these numbers are even accurate? We've been lied to for too long.

2bstung - It's definitely important to note that more young men would die in our own country than die in service to a war.Where are the rest of the numbers? How many come back permanently maimed or mind-fucked?How many of the so-called enemy combatants have only raised arms to fight off another occupation of their country?Truth is anyone that wanted to do the research would have known that Iraq, while being a relatively young sovereignty was bombarded by U.N. sanctions, the Iran-Iraq war.Desert Storm-basically their was nothing left to fight over except the fact that Iraq has always been that nice little buffer state of the Mid-East-sometimes foe;sometimes ally. And we wonder at the brilliance of scholarly learners? Where is the honor in taking war to children?

Why? And this is only the ones being reported correctly. . .and only the U.S. ones. What about the Iraqis and all of the others who have lost their lives? :(

From the Page: Faces of the Fallen is a collection of information about each U.S. service member who died in Iraq and Afghanistan during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

This information has been compiled from military releases, news service reports and local newspaper stories. The photographs come from news services, local newspapers and family members.
