What do you expect when you run Windoze? One reviewer asks why NASA doesn't run Linux (which is much more secure against viral attack). Well, they do... when it counts. Linux, and many open source applications, are used in mission critical applications, for instance in controlling the Mars Rovers. What did Jeff Norris, a senior computer scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory who headed development of the rover's Science Activity Planner (SAP) software have to say?<br /><br />"Among the components we used, we found the open source components to be of far greater quality"
