cstone18 - There was a review on this page that had this quote, which I have seen many people argue for why God and religion is bad for society and it goes like this, "Faith is the practice of not thinking, not questioning, simply obeying." - can't remember where I read that." I am now attacking atheism and agnostics and everyone else who finds it bad to have faith in something more powerful than them. Are you all scientists? Have you all studied the theory of evolution? Do you know evolution and all the hypotheses? Have you seen all the proof that evolution is real? Have you seen Global warming? Do you truly understand the effects of CO2 on the environment? Do you know your history? Do you use history as part of your reason? Do you know all these things you claim as "scientific fact" to be true or do you rely on someone else to tell you they are true? We all put faith in something, whether it be a scientific theory or a Deity and we all reason with ourselves to come to the conclusion we are right. I believe we were created in the likeness of God, I believe Jesus died for my sins so I had a shot to reach a place that has never been scientifically proven one way or another, I am a Christian. I did not right this to convert any non believers I wrote this because you claim faith is a bad thing. Yet you yourself use faith because you can never know the true answers to all of these questions. You can only make an educated guess as to why this causes that and that causes this and that, my friends is faith. You are no better than I putting your faith in your reason and your science than I am putting faith in something that was put in a history book thousands of years ago. (Let the attacks begin)

e1anator - What a silly video! It repeatedly makes use of the oxymoron "a normal intelligent person..." THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A NORMAL INTELLIGENT PERSON! The idiot providing the voiceover may be normal, but he is not intelligent. Obviously he has proved nothing. At first I thought he might be proving that the bible itself has inaccuracies. But he does not even do that. The bible passages he quotes DID NOT STATE the form that Jesus would take when requested to appear. He may in fact be the substance making up all of the matter, energy, or whatever surrounding the petitioner before, during, and after the request. This video proves that you don't have to be intelligent to be an atheist. In fact it is so dumb one has to wonder whether it is actually a straw man put up by some religious group so they can point out how stupid atheists are. But nah, the simpler explanation is that it's just some dumb atheist wasting his time by "disproving" other people's belief systems.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------

I thought I'd just quote that as it is a great demonstration of an emotional reaction. Religious people hate it when they're faith gets attacked. I've never heard a responce from a religious person saying "You make some valid points here, I can see your argument" and then reply in the same logical manner as the argument was made. Instead I hear "What a silly video!" or "This man is OBVIOUSLY an idiot!" etc.etc. I think that there is substantial evidence (Scientifical evidence) against Christianity but that religious beliefs will always invent arguments against that evidence.
