Though I still end up doing a lot of web-development in Firefox, as a host to Firebug. The Web Inspector might soon change it.
This WebKit functionality is not enabled by default, but it's an easy fix:
defaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitDeveloperExtras -bool true
It is almost there! The major feature that's still lacking is the ability to edit DOM elements live (previews, mockups, or simply tests).
