Stephen01020304 - I have to wonder about the idiot who said, "I got out of his little article is that he hates Christians".

Exactly how does Mr. ruffedge draw this conclusion? Obviously not from reading the article. The article takes Republicans to task for NOT being like Christ and NOT following in Christ's example. He quite obviously implies that being like Christ would be a GOOD thing!

However all the Republicans that he cites as examples fall far short of this standard.

Obviously Mr. ruffedge needs a course in reading comprehension.

Either that, or he's extremely dishonest and is attempting to mislead people about the author and leave people with a false impression of what sort of person the author truly is.

Sharazade - the GOP's only argument that uses Christianity is against abortion. Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly- you are absolutely kidding yourselves if you think these people care about "turning the other cheek".

VikingTed - "difference between government and belief system"? there isn't much of a difference if those in power are inflicting laws based on their personal belief system. the belief system they misrepresent. Jesus was a cool guy, but I've never met a single Christian that tried to emulate him. Not even close to trying. More like limp-wristed "missionary" bullshit which equates to "if you listen to us babble about Christ and get converted we'll give you food, starving peope!" oh yeah, and the part about "stop thinking!"

"BUT CLEETUS, JESUS NEVER SAID NO NOTHIN' 'BOUT NO NOT THINKIN'. RECKERN IS OKAY FER PEPEERS TA NAT THINK 'N STUFF. DATS WHY WE GOTS DA GUV'MENTS TA DO IT FER US."
